Fantasy Basketball Risers and Fallers: Championship Week Edition

LaMarcus Aldridge is hot right in time for your Championship Week.

Well if you made it this far, than you are playing for the league’s title. Depending on your league rules, this week is certainly the week to take chances if you are desperate. Let’s say you have relied on the Beach Boy Kevin Love all season, only to see him questionable for the entire championship week. Well if that is the case you must: read the Risers and Fallers list to see who’s hot and who’s not, then make your move for the right guy to replace Mr. Love.

If you are playing in a standard non-keeper fantasy basketball league, dropping Mr. Love won’t hurt you if he doesn’t play.  If you can grab an Anthony Randolph, well you just may win your title. So to all you loyal readers and fantasy players – good luck in your title games.

With nothing to play for JaVale McGee is averaging some serious fantasy numbers.

With NBA rotations changing day by day due to injuries and other concerns, fantasy basketball owners need to find players they can count on. The best thing to look for is players playing for teams still competing to the final playoff spots. The other group you can count on is the young players playing for bad teams. Owners, coaches and GMs want to see what they have in them so they will keep running them out there. These four young players should help teams wrap up their championships.

JaVale McGee – C – Washington Wizards
With nothing left to play for McGee has been wreaking havoc on the NBA. He has at least 3 blocks in 4 of his last 5 games and scored 11 points to go with 17 rebounds yesterday. (more…)

Deron Williams fantasy stock is up in New Jersey.

A week after some of the biggest NBA names moved to new teams, we are seeing just how well these players are fitting into their new surroundings. Players like Carmelo Anthony and Mo Williams seem to be playing better than ever in their new homes, but they haven’t benefited as greatly as one of our risers this week. It’s time for another look at the fantasy basketball risers and fallers, those players you had better keep an eye on.
