2011 NBA Finals: Miami Heat, Stay Hot My Friends!

Stay hot my friends

The Mavs were playing in the finals as if they were the biggest, baddest team around, not the Heat!  The Heat were supposed to be the ones playing with bravado and mojo, but instead, it was Dallas playing like the team to be feared, almost as if Game’s 1 and 3 of the 2011 Finals, which Dallas lost, had angered the Mavericks. 2011 NBA Finals: The True “King” Has Now Been Crowned!

The true "King" has now been crowned

So this is how it ends.  This is how it all pans out huh?  The Dallas Mavericks outlast the vaunted Miami Heat in a 6-game, NBA Finals battle, with Dallas winning the last three matches in a row.  If it weren’t for Game 2’s comeback victory, The Mavs could have possibly been looking at a 3-0 series lead, in favor of the Heat.  Who knows if they would have been able to fight their way back and tie the series up 3-3 if that were to happen?  But hey, Dallas just won three straight (Game’s 4, 5 and 6), so I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be able to fight back in that scenario.  Anyway, the true king has been crowned–Dirk Nowitzki. Up 3-2, Dallas is only one game away from an NBA Finals

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the 2011 NBA Finals just got serious!  On Thursday, June 9, 2011, Miami fell to rival Dallas Mavericks in a 112-103 out-lasting in Game 5 of the 2011 NBA Finals.  The series is now 3-2, in favor of Dallas.  Before the season, many people thought that the Miami Heat would easily walk through the league and win so-called, “multiple championships,” especially after signing LeBron James and Chris Bosh before going into the 2011 season.  The new trio of Bosh, D-Wade and LeBron, all together in Miami, reminded people of the Celtics of 2007-2008, when Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen both joined forces with Paul Pierce in Boston to go and win a ring.  What happened?  They went and won the ring that very same year–2007-2008.  However, with the series now in Dallas’ favor and with only one game left for them to win, it’s starting to look like that same type of championship plan that LeBron had for himself and the city of Miami, might have to be put on hold for at least another full season of basketball. 2011 NBA Finals: Game 4 Recap/Game 5 Outlook, Mavs vs. Heat

Miami just can't close out the Mavs. Who will last longest?

Dare I say it, the flu-game, from Dirk?  I guess it looks like Michael Jordan isn’t the only one now who carried his team to an NBA Finals matchup victory while playing with the flu.  It’s always good to get your name mentioned in the same sentence with Michael Jordan, right?  Dirk Nowitzki was even sniffling during his post-game interview with the media, so let there be no mistake about it, the man was sick!  What a series we have here on our hands.  Again I say, these 2011 NBA Finals just got serious and we are now tied at two games-a-piece.  Miami fans must now heed the warning and realize that the Dallas Mavericks are here and that the threat is for real.
