Every fantasy basketball guru knows just how important fringe players are if they are to win their daily, weekly or season long fantasy basketball game. Fringe players may not be the first or second scoring option on their respective team, but if they log substantial minutes, they can be extremely valuable depending on their current run in form.

Fantasy Basketball News & Notes: Gallo Sidelined, Gerald Henderson Soaring

Gallo is still sidelined for his new team.

Injuries are still the story permeating through fantasy basketball lineups. With players like Brandon Roy and Joakim Noah returning strong from injuries, we knew it couldn’t keep going this well. Some players have had their recoveries slowed while others seem to have come back too soon. In addition to the players below look for updates on Andrei Kirilenko, Paul Millsap and Luis Scola as they all left their respective games Monday night with an injury and there could be some fantasy basketball advice on the way as a result of their potential absence.

Danilo Gallinari – F – Denver Nuggets

Gallinari will miss yet another week due to his toe injury. While it was unrealistic to except him back in just one week, owners now have to hope this doesn’t linger into a third week. All the Nuggets wing players deserve a bonus this week because there will be more minutes to go around. (more…)

Fresh off a new extension, Frye is proving his worth in Phoenix.

Sometimes in fantasy basketball, having an advantage can come from the amount of games your players are playing in. For example, you could pick up a player from the Miami Heat and he might play well, but the Heat only has two games this week. WFS offers some sleepers that are at least playing three games this week, and can contribute in this fourteenth week of the season.

Since returning to the starting lineup on January 9th, Frye has averaged 15.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 threes, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals. (more…)
